Department of Non-conventional and Renewable Energy SourcesThe State government in the Home and Hill Affairs Department vide it’s notification No. 858-Home(Cons)/R2R(Cons)-08/2016 dated 15th November 2019 created this department. It has the mandate to fulfil the vision of the state government to realise optimum share of renewable energy generation, development and utilisation in the overall energy mix of the state government and to explore new areas of renewable energy sources to harness optimally renewable energy sources in the state.
