Scheme - Aadhaar Enrolment And Seeding

Aadhaar Enrolment is the process by which an individual provides demographic and biometric details to register for a unique 12-digit Aadhaar number issued by UIDAI.

Aadhaar Seeding refers to linking this Aadhaar number with service databases (such as bank accounts or government schemes) to enable identity authentication and facilitate efficient delivery of benefits and services.

Eligibility

  • All residents of India
  • No minimum age limit (including newborns and children)
  • Must provide basic demographic details (name, address, etc.)
  • Biometric details required (fingerprints,iris scan, photo) for individuals above 5 years
  • For foreign nationals: Must have lived in India for 182 days for more in12 months prior to application. This requirement does not apply to Indian Citizens.

Application Details

  • Visit the nearestAadhaar Enrolment Centre
  • Fill out the enrolment form with required details
  • Submit identity and address proof documents
  • Provide biometric data (photo, fingerprints, iris scan)
  • Collect the acknowledgement slip with enrolment ID for tracking
