In supersession of "Karmasathi Prakalpa", this scheme has been introduced for young entrepreneurs in the age group of 18 - 55 years. It offers subsidy-linked and collateral-free loans for setting up new ventures, projects, or micro-enterprises in manufacturing, service, trading, and agro-based activities.
Objective:
West Bengal has an excellent track record in developing MSMEs, including handloom and handicrafts. Almost 99% of industrial undertakings in the state belong to the MSME sector, with 98% of these being micro-enterprises. A large number of educated youth with entrepreneurial skills face difficulty accessing institutional finance.
This scheme aims to:
- Encourage self-employment and income generation.
- Promote wealth creation and employment opportunities in rural and urban areas.
- Strengthen micro and small-scale enterprises across the state.
Key Benefits
- Loan Amount: Up to INR 5 lakh per beneficiary.
- Subsidy: Government provides Margin Money Subsidy.
- Interest Subsidy: Loans available at a subsidized interest rate of 4% per annum through banks.
- Collateral-Free: No guarantor or security required.
- Eligible Activities: Manufacturing, service, trading, and agro-based ventures.
Eligibility
- Age: 18 to 55 years.
- Domicile: Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- Occupation: Entrepreneurs, traders, artisans, self-employed individuals, or small service providers.
- Exclusion: Existing loan defaulters are not eligible.

- Online Application: Apply through the official portal.
- Required Documents: Aadhaar, domicile proof, income certificate, and business proposal.
- Bank Processing: Loans are sanctioned by designated banks; credit cards issued post-approval.
