Benefits Offer Under the Scheme
- Financial incentive (Rs 12,000 per household) to eligible rural households (primarily BPL and identified APL) for construction of an individual functional household latrine

Eligibility
- Rural household without an Individual Household Latrine
- Priority to Below Poverty Line (BPL) households as identified through official socio- economic surveys
- Identified Above Poverty Line (APL) households belonging to vulnerable categories such as SC/ST, small and marginal farmers, landless laborers, and physically challenged persons
- Must be a resident of a rural area covered under Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen)
Application Details
- Identification of beneficiaries by the Gram Panchayat or local authorities based on eligibility criteria
- Application submission through the local Gram Panchayat or relevant rural development office
- Verification of eligibility by officials through field visits or existing socio-economic data Approval and sanction of incentive
- Construction of the toilet by the beneficiary, either independently or with local support/assistance
- Inspection after construction to ensure the toilet meets basic standards and is functional
- Release of financial incentive (Rs 12,000) directly to the beneficiary's bank account
